- Payment information: Payments are processed securely through Paystack. AAWOD does not store your full card details directly — these are handled by Paystack's secure payment infrastructure.
- Communication data: Messages sent via WhatsApp, email, or our contact form, including any order questions, support requests, delivery details, or customization approvals.
- Device, cart, and usage data: Basic information such as your browser type, IP address, pages visited, cart/session activity, and website interactions collected through standard website functionality and analytics tools.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To process, verify, and fulfil your order, including production and delivery of your custom product.
- To review customization instructions, confirm designs, and make sure your personalized item matches what was agreed before production.
- To communicate with you about your order status, design confirmation, payment status, delivery updates, and support requests.
- To respond to your enquiries, complaints, refund requests, or customer service issues.
- To help prevent fraud, misuse, duplicate orders, payment issues, or unauthorized activity.
- To send occasional promotional messages if you have opted in to receive them. You can opt out at any time by contacting us or following the unsubscribe/opt-out instructions provided.
- To improve our website, product range, checkout experience, customer service, and overall service quality.
- To comply with legal, accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations where applicable.
3. Sharing of Information
AAWOD does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share limited information only where necessary to operate the store and fulfil your order:
- Delivery partners: Your name, phone number, and delivery address may be shared with the courier or logistics service responsible for delivering your order.
- Payment processors: Paystack receives the information necessary to complete your transaction. Paystack's own privacy policy governs how they handle that data.
- Production or fulfilment partners: Where needed, limited order and customization details may be shared with trusted partners involved in creating, packaging, or fulfilling your item.
- Website and support tools: Basic order, communication, or technical information may be processed through tools we use to operate the website, communicate with customers, and provide support.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request from a government authority.
4. Payment Security
All payments on AAWOD are processed through Paystack, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Your card details are encrypted and never stored on AAWOD's servers. When you click "Proceed to Checkout," you are interacting directly with Paystack's secure payment infrastructure.
For additional security, do not share your card details via WhatsApp, email, or any other communication channel outside the official checkout page.
5. WhatsApp Communications
AAWOD uses WhatsApp as a primary customer support, order confirmation, and customization channel. When you message us on WhatsApp, your phone number, message content, and any files you send are visible to AAWOD staff handling your enquiry or order.
We may use WhatsApp to confirm your design, request clarification, provide delivery updates, respond to support issues, or help complete your personalized product.
Please be aware that WhatsApp communications are subject to Meta's own privacy policy and terms of service. Do not share sensitive financial information, such as card numbers or banking details, over WhatsApp.
6. User Submitted Content
For personalized products, you may choose to submit photos, names, initials, logos, artwork, screenshots, design references, or other content. By submitting this content to AAWOD, you confirm that you have the right to use and share it for the purpose of creating your customized product.
You remain responsible for ensuring that any content you provide does not violate another person's rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights. AAWOD may refuse to produce designs that appear unlawful, abusive, misleading, or inappropriate.
We use user submitted content only as needed to communicate with you, confirm your design, produce your order, provide customer support, and maintain reasonable records related to the transaction.
7. Cookies
Our website may use cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to improve your experience. These may include:
- Essential cookies or local storage: Required for the website to function, such as cart activity, checkout flow, and basic session functionality.
